Hi Bill,

just take the default installer options (except note you are not obliged to contribute financially to the OpenSSL for Windows project). The option to install into the system directory is the key one. The OpenSSL v1.1.0 library names are different from the v1.0.2 ones so there is no conflict with the older version that is required for the 32-bit version of WSJT-X should you wish to revert.

Hi,

you may get an SSL/TLS network error when fetching a fresh LoTW users database ("Settings->Colors->Logbook of the World User Validation"). The WSJT-X User Guide current states that the OpenSSL v1.0.2 libraries are required for this to work, this is incorrect for the 64-bit version of WSJT-X, that requires the latest v1.1.0 version of the OpenSSL libraries. The instructions are the same except use the Win64_OpenSSL_v1.1.0k_Light package for the 64-bit version of WSJT-X.

Apologies for the release notice not containing this information, I have only just discovered this new dependency.
