Hi Bill, yes I did wonder if there was some sort of weird conflict between what 
the CAT data 
was telling the 7610 to do and what was happening on the PTT/SEND input on the 
ACC1 
socket.

I've got a sort of break-out connector that goes in-line between the DIN plug 
on the end of the 
cable coming from the G4ZLP interface unit and the ACC1 socket so I'll see if I 
can dig out 
the break-out connector and then disconnect the PTT line, and then repeat the 
tests with only 
CAT controlling PTT to see what happens.
