WSJTX Version: 2.5.4 OS – Mac Monterey 12.3.1 Radio – Yaesu 991A SiliconLabs Driver – 6.0.2 for Mac
When tuned to 40m (and only 40m), using FT8, the software loses CAT control shortly after transmitting. The symptoms are that it will hold the transmit too long and eventually show ORANGE status in WSJTX. It will reset and reconnect, but not after losing the QSO due to timing issues. This occurs each and every time I transmit on 40m, including when using TUNE. I want to emphasize that it seems to ONLY occur on 40m and not any other band. I use other software that also has CAT control over the 991A and it works as designed. I have also changed the mode to FT4 and 40m behaves normally. It seems isolated to only when using FT8 and 40m.
