Hi Jim,
if you mean a narrower waterfall/spectrum bandwidth for the former, then
that doesn't make much difference. As always it is best to match your
receiver's bandwidth.
The frequency tolerance should be as narrow as is practical, e.g. once
you know your QSO partner's frequency then the narrower the frequency
tolerance, the faster the decoder will complete its work.
