There is a very noticeable difference in the primary modulation signal between WSJT-X versions. 1.9.1 and 2.0.0 show wide modulation with characteristics similar to key clicks at each tone change. Versions 2.2.1 and 2.3.0 show a softer change between tones with no "clicks".
