No critics, done what was possible.
How ever it seems to be that it was hard to find out just period sized time drift.

I assume they had some kind of communication between boat and camp. Perhaps 2m. Boat has Gps for navigation. And from that you can see the time within one second. It would not be too hard to give time from boat to camp via radio and then manually set PC clock.
Accuracy within one second. (enough).

But I am sure they had enough other things to think about.

On the other hand it was very easy to enable "Tx Even/1st" checkbox in hound mode and recompile. After that no problem with wrong period. (still no qso...)
