Hi all, Allow me to make comment on bandwidth topic as I was involved and actually decided FT8 bandwidth as "2kHz" (as I did not know such popularity for FT8) on 40m/80m, wondering the proper spectrum allocation methodology in 2017.
"Today, 2025" Yes, it is absolutely inadequate and we should periodically review (not "big step" method mentioned by Andrew) and optimize WSJT-X spectrum based on the actual traffic or popularity basis with future forecast on each band. Hi Marco, I am not sure why you are asking your question. Q65-60A with Q65 Pileup option is now the standard mode used worldwide for 6m EME, and other Q65 modes are widely used on other EME bands. In addition, FT8 mode continues to be the favored mode on 6m and many HF bands, because of its great sensitivity.
