It's not impossible to create frameworks for wx 2.6 or 2.8 either,
the question is more whether it's a good idea and/or necessary... ?

i.e. it's just as easy to include dylibs inside "MacOS" or /usr/local
as it is to include frameworks in "Frameworks" and 
"/Library/Frameworks".

Assuming that wxWidgets 3.0 is actually going to be a *good* release,
unlike the ones from two unnamed proprietary operating system 
vendors... :-P

Then again, it seems that they renumbered wxWidgets 2.10 as 3.0 now,
so I might be confused as to what goes into the next "major" release ?
