http://nagoya.apache.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=4546 normalize-space does not properly handle text data ------- Additional Comments From [EMAIL PROTECTED] 2002-03-05 14:06 ------- Note that bugs in this area tend to be related to precisely how the data is arranged in memory, due to our "chunked array" storage of source document text (in FastStringBuffer). Providing an element in isolation may not allow us to reproduce the problem. If at all possible, please post a _complete_ input document which shows this behavior, to avoid having data alignment differences mask the behavior we're trying to reproduce and analyse. A fragment isn't really enough. Note that I checked in some whitespace normalization fixes a while back; not sure whether they're included in 2.3.1, but it's certainly worth making sure that this problem persists when using the current CVS code.
