normalize-space() deletes an inner space

Be sure to check the specific parser version that's being used (as well as the OS and 
java versions) 
when reproducing: Xerces has had a bug where text nodes sometimes got split 
intermittently, 
which might be/might have been related. (Remember to use EnvironmentCheck or Which to 
check the 
parser version at runtime, not just what you *think* is in the classpath)
