http://nagoya.apache.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=9441 normalize-space() deletes an inner space ------- Additional Comments From [EMAIL PROTECTED] 2002-06-09 13:45 ------- The classloading question is an important one, with a number of un-obvious ramifications. In any case, it needs further investigation (perhaps separately from the normalize-space()) both because of the 1.2/1.3 differences (thanks for pointing that out; I didn't realize they were that different in the spec!) and because the manifest classpath listed above is incorrect, since we now use xercesImpl.jar instead of the older xerces.jar. Request to users: could you run the *stylesheet* version of EnvironmentCheck in your failing environment and post results? This is the best way to show what actual parser version is being used at runtime. Follow http://xml.apache.org/xalan-j/faq.html#faq-9 through to http://xml.apache.org/xalan- j/apidocs/org/apache/xalan/xslt/EnvironmentCheck.html and run that stylesheet in the same environment (Note: we need to update the faq.html to show the stylesheet example too) Note that one use of the manifest is by some Sun projects related to JAXP and the JDK, so any comment from those folks about manifest changes would be appreciated.
