[ http://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/XALANJ-1974?page=comments#action_63424 ] Ari Miller commented on XALANJ-1974: ------------------------------------
I'm not having any trouble reproducing the problem. Given that I created the test case, that isn't much of a surprise :). Basically, it seems that when I run the test case, it outputs a different transformed.html than when Brian runs the test case I provided. I downloaded the test case from the attachments, to avoid that as a possible source of problem. I would assume the differences in output we are seeing is due to a difference in the conditions under which we are running the test case, in the absence of other evidence. Here are the conditions under which the test case outputs the attached transformed.html, which I claim is not the correct output: Windows XP Professional java version "1.5.0_01" Java(TM) 2 Runtime Environment, Standard Edition (build 1.5.0_01-b08) Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM (build 1.5.0_01-b08, mixed mode) xalan-j_2_6_0 My initial guess would be that when run under Windows XP, the output is different than when run under UNIX. Brian, are you running the test case on UNIX? > Doubles newline character > ------------------------- > > Key: XALANJ-1974 > URL: http://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/XALANJ-1974 > Project: XalanJ2 > Type: Bug > Components: Serialization > Versions: 2.6 > Environment: Windows Xp Professional O.S., Jrun 4, netBeans 3.6, sql server, > jdk 1.4.2_03 > Reporter: vaibhav kakadia > Assignee: Brian Minchau > Priority: Critical > Attachments: UtilityStylesheetTester.java, paragraph.xsl, > saxontransformed.html, transform.xml, transformed.html > > Hi, > It seems to be a strage problem. I put a text like > 1 > 2 > and saves data. When I come back it is > 1 > 2 > I again saved data and came back it is > 1 > 2 > It seems that it is unable to parse #xd;#xa; (CR-LF) into #xa; (LF). So it > increases newline character everytime. I don't know why this problem arises > but when I was using older version of Xalan set it was 2.2.0 this was not > taking place. > Please do the needful. > Vaibhav -- This message is automatically generated by JIRA. - If you think it was sent incorrectly contact one of the administrators: http://issues.apache.org/jira/secure/Administrators.jspa - For more information on JIRA, see: http://www.atlassian.com/software/jira --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] For additional commands, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
