Well, there ya go. ALOHA is a strictly RF computation, and only looks at stations heard via a TNC (e.g. a serial TNC, AGWPE interface, or AX.25 port). > I've never seen the computer in the car running xastir produce an > answer either, but next trip out of town I'll try (now the computer and > the radio will talk to each other again). It takes a half-hour to gather the data for an ALOHA computation, if there are enough stations heard to compute one. The computation is redone every half hour. If you've got an RF connection, and wait at least a half hour, you should see something under "View->Aloha Statistics."
