It looks like MLZ would be a great addition to CSL, for exactly the reasons 
stated by Sebastian. We have a number of Papers user that work in law 
departments or firms, and improved support for citations in this field would be 
very welcomed. We would definitely start adding support for whatever changes to 
CSL are necessary. In general, we will follow the CSL improvements and 
integrate them in Papers asap as they develop.

In short: MLZ FTW.

I also agree that it is better to keep it as a separate repository for now. It 
will make sense to integrate it as a version branch when the time comes.
