I'd like us to think in terms of other services for skiers beyond grooming. Those could be say, the development of another lighted facility on the east side, improved access to the shelter, proceeding with trail expansion at Elver or additional plantings of protective plants. The city/county will always have grooming well down the list of post snowfall activities and I think we lay too much blame on the "grooming". Usually our snow is inadequate for the postcard tracks we dream of and then we ski the heck out of whatever we do have. In a couple hours you can't tell if Elver has been groomed or not.
