I hate to admit it but I'm a power tool kind of guy. How about a few snow throwers to really move some of the white stuff.

Dirk, good idea.
who has access to a little ATV with the broom on the front,? they are used for sidewalks all over the place, we'd miss the work out but be skiing hours sooner. If you know of someone, we can rent it, I have a trailer or can use someones pickup.

- Subject: [XC] Madison Area Trail making
- I know we have not been out on the area trails skiing, bumping into our ski friends. So I am getting desperate to get a skiable loop going. Last night a few of us skied on the Elver pond with pretty good snow conditions. Yuriy and I were talking that if we don't get any snow this weekend we should shovel a loop. Therefore, it is time to purpose a good old fashion MadNorSki trail making party.
- Come on out to the Elver ponds to build a snow covered loop. It is kinda like breaking bread around the dinner table. This timely tradition is built into the training plan of the top European skiers. So all those folks that want to get out an ski, come on out Monday afternoon (the 20th) from 4:30 - ??? (provided we don't get more snow this weekend) to help shovel a loop. Bring a shovel and get an upper body workout in (helps with that double pole). Oh yeah don't forget the classic skis for later.
- I just looked at the long term forecast for the Madison area. Looks like we are going to have temps in the teens to low 20s now through the end of next week. So the fruits of our labor should last a while.
