I'm requesting some advice to maintain my aching body, or actually to prevent or minimize further "aching bodies".
I skied the 55k freestyle Noquemanon this past weekend. I was only out two weekends on skis before this so it was a training race for me. I am also just starting to learn to skate this year. I have classic skied for over 20 years. Anyways, the main question for the experienced racers of the group is this: The main knuckles on my hand at my forefingers feel like I have carpal tunnel syndrome or something like tendonitis. It has happened before while skating this year. Has anybody had this after-race ailment and found a way to minimize it? Do I need a different grip/technique/more training or is it just the way it's going to be while skating? I have'nt had the problem while striding before. The Birkie is coming up soon! Let it snow!
