Just managed to catch the rsync command with ps and saw this:

/usr/bin/rsync --rsync-path /usr/bin/rsync -Lprogtz [...]

Of course the -L option transforms the symlink into its target, hence
why we're seeing complains about the lack of a referent.

We really want xCAT to push out symlinks as is, not transform them. :-(

Any way for us to persuade it to do that?
