Look at the xdcp  or pcp man page,  to see if anything can help you there.

Thanks for the feedback Lissa; there's been a bit more discussion
internally here about this afterwards and the concensus we've arrived
at is that we're best off to leave this behaviour as it is and find
another way to push out these symlinks, probably via a postscript (and
work to make it idempotent for existing links).
