Hi smithjohn, Which network port is the NW cable in, and do you have any extra cables going into the IMM port?
If you only have the one, then you need add ipmi.bmcport=0 for the configuration, so that the ipmi i.e. rpower and rcons works over the NW interface. What you may be seeing is that the configuration is actually taking place, but only dedicated on the IMM port.
