It would appear that the makehosts is creating the entries incorrectly.
The first 2 enteries for slesxcat I entered. The last entry was created by
the makehosts command. Or does it really make a difference if the short
name comes before the FQDN?

172.16.1.40 slesxcat.s390.mainline.com slesxcat
