Can you run xdsh sn[1-3 ] "lsxcatd -a" from the MN and give the output.

Another better way to fix up keys and credentials is to run updatenode sn
[1-3] -k. It will prompt you for the root password.
The error you are getting usually indicates the daemon on the MN cannot
contact the xcatd on the service node for some reason.

lsdef sn1 output would be useful

tabdump servicenode

Hi Xiao,

That is the obvious question to ask, and yes, I have done that through th
postscripts tables, as well as running updatenode sn1+2 servicenode. This
enables for the nodes themselves to run commands, but not able to run from
MN

Unless there is a different way of doing it in 2.8, I have done service
nodes before, and haven't had this problem before.

regards,
Arif

Did you create a service group and added your SNs to this group before

You can try to run 'updatenode sn[1-3] servicenode' to update the keys.

  Thanks

  Hi team,

I am in the process of installing a cluster of approx 800 iDPX nodes, and
we are suppose to have 4 service nodes. I have re-installed the service
nodes several times, in my usual way, but unfortunately, I am coming to
  the same result

  # makedhcp -a
Error: Unable to dispatch hierarchical sub-command to sn1:3001.  This
service node may be down or its xcatd daemon may not be responding.
Error: Unable to dispatch hierarchical sub-command to sn2:3001.  This
service node may be down or its xcatd daemon may not be responding.
Error: Unable to dispatch hierarchical sub-command to sn3:3001.  This
service node may be down or its xcatd daemon may not be responding.

I have been trying to diagnose for 6-8 hours, and not being able to
  figure out the issue.

The SN themselves can run all the xCAT commands itself, it seems there
may be something up with the SSL connection between the MN and the SN.
SSL is my weak point unfortunately  and not sure where to start
  debugging.

Any help on this would be very useful.
