Can you make the interface blank?
chdef node1interface="" or manually go to the mac table and blank out the
interface attribute for node1. Then do nodeset again and redeploy the
node. Hope it helps.

I am new in xCat, but can't fix the issue:
error changing netif name 'eth2' to 'eth0': Device or resource busy
Please help.
