Unfortunately it still remains on the 11 node once it reacquires.

Yeah all resolution forward and reverse shows both names, both IPs correctly.
Rcons to host sl******11 takes me correctly to sl******11, however rcons to
sl******10 also takes me to 11.

Hmm… odd… host resolution nice and correct and unambiguous? Are they ‘swapped’
or both clobbering each other?

Hi all,
I’m wondering if anyone has any ideas as to where an IMM /MGT IP/hostname or
table might be misconfigured to cause rcons to take you to a different host.
For instance I rcons to sl******10 and it gives me the console of server
sl******11.
> I checked all name resolution and everything resolves correctly at the OS
> level.
> I checked the IPMI tables and it also maps the hostname to management
> hostname correctly (sl vs rc);

"sl********11","rc********11","1",,,,,,
"sl********12","rc********12","1",,,,,,
> I checked the IMM and they have both have the correct IP set.
