I installed this new version and flew with it yesterday. It works nicely :-) I noticed from the release notes on Git: http://git.snow-crash.org/?p=xcsoar.git;a=shortlog that Tobias has been busy with the wind Zig Zag routine. Thanks Tobias! This is behaving very differently from version 2010-09-29. My flight was mainly thermic and the circling wind calc is good. I noticed some "tweaks" on wind speed info while flying straight, but it did not pick up any wind data on aerotow. But the jury is still out on this. I have a raw log file from yesterday. I will replay the log and check the zig-zag behavior again when I get a chance. If anybody wants the log to debug things. I can make it available.
