What Triadis really needs is a better Public Relations department! ;-) Triadis seems to do everything to unsettle their customers, which is sad because the Altair is a nice product after all. Samuel Gisiger (of Triadis) has promised to send me an Altair unit, and Scott also volunteered for helping with the port (see his email). That addresses our biggest problem: none of the current developers owns an Altair, and I don't want to buy one just to do unpaid work for it. Samuel has confirmed that my unofficial XCSoar 6 builds run on the Altair. Scott said it, it might need lots of adaptations (no touch screen). I will release an Altair version as early as possible, to allow brave Altair owners to participate in alpha/beta testing. It's up to you then to help making sure that XCSoar 6 runs well, by submitting bug reports and feature requests. When the Altair is back to the list of official XCSoar platforms, I hope all of you can enjoy flying with the Altair again, and forget about the mistakes of the past. Interested Altair owners should subscribe to the XCSoar user mailing list to receive our announcements (https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/xcsoar-user).
