OK, now I see what the problem is and why it would work that way.

I always fly track-up and accept that the track will whirl round when
I'm circling - in cruise it always shows pretty much what I want to see
and as a bonus remains aligned with what I'm seeing out the window.

Interesting idea, but I'll stick to track-up - I like the TP moving so
that its always shows where to look if you need a visual on it.
