Hello,

I ran into the same issue as Adrien a while ago. In our club-gliders we
can switch the PDA NMEA-Source between Flarm and Logger.
I hoped xcsoar would work the way Adrien (and me) expected it to:
When connecting to Device A fails, try connecting to Device B, even when
on the same serial port (but with different baud-rate)
But at the moment, as Max said, it doesn't work that way.
When switching NMEA Sources, I have to go to the config screen to change
baudrate manually each time.

To facilitate that some questions:

1) Would a feature request to get the "expected" behaviour, as stated
above, make sense or is it technically to difficult?
2) Would a feature "auto detect baudrate" be possible/desirable ? (Would
also be great for user-friendlyness, not speed of course)
3) Is it possible to make a shortcut for a quick change of the baudrate
inflight using *.xci or similar files? If yes, could you point me to the
right option or a howto page for that?

I could create tickets for Q 1 and 2 if that makes sense to the coders
as well. Otherwise would be a waste of time. Let me know please. =)

Thanks for all the work you guys put in xcsoar, it never stops getting
better... =)

Henrik

Simplify data backup and recovery for your virtual environment with vRanger.
Installation's a snap, and flexible recovery options mean your data is safe,
secure and there when you need it. Discover what all the cheering's about.
