I experienced the same problem and opened a ticket with regards to this:

The ticket has been closed as "fixed in version 6.3".

I did one quick test with 6.3 and got an error, but I have not had a
chance to fly with it and reproduce bug (or otherwise it).

If there is anybody currently using Flarm + IOIO + XCsoar 6.3 please let
us have some feedback.

Note if you upgrade from 6.2 to 6.3 you must also upgrade the Flarm
firmware, as described in:

http://www.xcsoar.org/trac/ticket/1581

This involves downloading and installing the
"The-IOIO-Manager-Application", running it and setting the "..300"
version firmware as active, and power cycling the IOIO. It is quick and
easy, but if you don't do it the IOIO will not work with XCsoar 6.3.

On a separate but related issue. I found with version 6.2 that lowering
the Flarm Baud rate improved the stability with IOIO (but did not fix it
completely). But I have subsequently read that if Flarm Baud rate is set
too low, it stops sending traffic data sentences. Can anybody confirm
this and provide details?
