Thanks for that addition. I believe there's also something in setup to select how lift and sink are displayed on your trail.

Another way that I use the full trail is to close triangles for OLC flights.

The add-on to that needs to be that you should turn off "drift with wind" when you're trying to mark wavelets or return to them. But I use the full trail feature for that very reason. It's also interesting to see after making a turn to fly back through the "same" air how far off to the side you often end up.

    Hi, Claus,

As an alternative to your request, let me suggest the following: Set "Full Trails" in your setup and you will be able to see where
the lift is best. I use this to navigate back to small waves in
New Mexico, USA, and it works very well. I would think it would
be better than markers because you can see your entire path as you
turn back for another path in the wave, you can see where the best
lift is, and you can explore without fear of losing the lift.

    Cheers,
    Dan

    Hi, Tobias

would it be worth to be a ticket:

"markers saved to be available in Goto waypoint-list"

this option could be temporarely just to go back to the point
exactly you were some minutes ago.
After the flight is done they could be deleted... (thinking about
wave flights in northern germany, where the waves aren't so big
in their dimension .. and the entry is pretty small sometimes
    (Ithwiesen ..)

I think, 10 markers should be enough, maybe saved in a
    temporarely circle-memory ??

I can't find a way to fly direct to markers I once tagged.
(If it's possible - uups - I'm just to blind. Would be blamable
to me, using XCS for years now ...)

    Hi everyone!

One month after we’ve given you XCSoar 6.4, we’ve just release the
first maintenance version for the 6.4 branch. I’ve used 6.4 myself on
two competitions last month and I was very happy with it. There were
however a few minor things that were bugging me, so we’ve fixed them:

    * “Final GR” infobox is fixed
    * Flarm Team Colors are properly saved in the profile
    * Flarm targets are shown properly in the Map Item List
    * A few device drivers have been fixed
    * Bluetooth support for Windows CE is fixed/improved
    * Airspace arc resolution is improved (more on that later!)

You can read about the rest of the fixes in our change log:

    http://download.xcsoar.org/releases/6.4.1/NEWS.txt

    Download:

    http://www.xcsoar.org/download/latest.html
    http://download.xcsoar.org/releases/6.4.1/
    https://market.android.com/details?id=org.xcsoar

The next maintenance release will be 6.4.2, to be released on demand.
The next major release will be 6.5, around the end of the year.
