Hi Claus, don't worry too much about the power consumption. The biggest problem is usually the screen itself and not the computation behind it. Activating the "full trail" option might have been a problem on older PDAs with less computing power, but on modern hardware this shouldn't be problem anymore. I have it enabled too and I don't see any noticable disadvantages.
