We have delivered a number of Soartronic BT modules, and in our club it is
installed in 4 gliders. We have not had any communication problems this
far. I think we have had two devices which did not start at all after
delivery. However, it is possible that you have a faulty one. It is also
possible, that Butterfly has some filtering in it. Actually I have asked
some filtering into XCSoar, since I would like to see who is just coming
into FLARM range, and from which direction.
You have also another BT module - can you use that temporally for
FLARM? Ideal would be, that you monitor the incoming NMEA stream with the
devices/monitoring utility, but that would be a safety risk...
If nothing else works, we can send you another Soartronic BT1 module for
testing. Keep us informed.
