Thanks for the reply. I had thought  the battery page may have been showing 
historical data but I get the impression that it resets after ther battery has 
been completely re-charged as the usage shown of variouse functions changes. 
After the last charge xc soar was showing around 15% for several days (without 
being used) but is now reducing. I'll keep monitoring this and see what happens 
after ther next charge.

As I understand it, the Battery page in the Android System menu shows 
historical data rather than live data. If that's what you're looking at, I 
think it's simply saying the CPU usage when XCSoar was active accounted for 15% 
of battery usage since the last reboot.
