I had a similar problem and posted about it on this list and one of the
developers answered my question. What I learned was that the display of
waypoints is governed by how powerful your device is compared to the size of
the waypoint file. In other words, as the number of waypoints increases, the
processing power requirements for your device increase proportionally. So,
when the waypoint list(s) gets so long that it exceeds the threshold of
required processing power, the list will no longer be displayed by default.
However, if you filter the list using the name, distance, type or direction
filter the matching waypoints will be displayed. This is by design and is
intended to prevent a huge waypoint list from adversely affecting your
device performance.

Hi,

I'm using XCSoar, version 6.6.1 on my Sony Experia S phone, running Android
4.0. The reason for this is that the Sony has a brilliant screen that is
very readable in flight. It's a big advantage that XCSoar runs on Android,
contrary to e.g. LK8000!

?

There is one problem however, but maybe that's because I have to change
something in the startup-file or whatever. I couldn't find info on that in
the manual (yet). If I load one waypoint file into Config>System>Site
Files>Site Files, e.g. 'Netherlands.cup' this works fine. As soon as I add a
second waypoint file e.g. 'Germany.cup', no waypoints are given in the
waypoint list. If I only load 'Netherlands.cup' and no second waypoint file,
this works fine. The waypoint list is filled. Also if I only load
'Germany.cup' as the single waypoint file, this works fine. So, both files
seem to be uncorrupted. Problems occur if I use two waypoint-files at the
same time. Of course I can join the two files and make my own waypoint-file,
covering both countries, but this is not my preferred method and should not
be necessary.

Who can help me on this?

John Gooden?
