You are right there is no Portuguese translation to the xc manual. So you
are more than welcome to contribute.

I was contributing to the English manual as well as the German translation,
but not so recently. So I am not sure giving you the most up to date info
here, also it is quite possible that the manual is partially outdated.

Nevertheless any contribution only can improve.
The manual is written in latex and chapter wise split into files. Any
translation will be easiest possible kept up to date if pictures and
structure are just used as is. I even get some of the
diagrams/illustrations localizable.

I'd like to get into it a bit again supporting your plans. Are you familiar
with latex or even source code management? Not needed to translate, just
like to see how you would like to start over. You at least option to spend
some time on it ;)
