Just kill off the acronym expansions completely. If the user doesn't know what a CSS file is, telling them that it's a "Cascading Style Sheet" is not really any more informative than telling them that it's called a "Kaskadiĝanta Stilfolio" in Esperanto.

I disagree. Tellling the reader what an acronym means allows the reader to look it up, even if you don't provide a pointer to where to get more info. Without the meaning of the acronym, the reader is stuck trying to figure out which, of many, acronyms is the right one. Yes, expanding an acronym is tedious for someone, like people in this group, who already knows what it means. But I don't think that we are the entire audience.
