Well, It seems to me that you adopted a lot of new commiters and did some work... XDoclet-2 does not need much attention anyway (it is really simple) - so most work happens in plugnis project. > The fact that there wasn't an easy migration route > (e.g. a compatibility > wrapper XJavadoc metadata provider and .xdt > templating support) for the > existing modules didn't help v2's cause; we've still > got a number that > only exist in the old version, so many people can't > move to the new > one. Well, .xdt templating was dropped because it was .xdt templating - to be honest it's pretty ugly ( though it inspired jelly ) Now there are jelly/velocity/freemarker - chances are you are using some of them anyway. And it is true that EJB suport (with all the different servers) is incomplete - but this changes slowly ( there is a guy with BEA as use case, so he puts some work inside ) As always, all the commiters of XD1 are welcome to hack on xdoclet-2 plugins. > Besides, technology moves on. Well, everything becomes obsolete sometimes. For now, not every big company even thinks aout moving to java 1.5... So xdoclet is to stay for couple of years. BTW, could you update http://xdoclet.sourceforge.net/xdoclet/status.html so it reflects actual status of xdoclet-2 ? ( in production ) regards, ----[ Konstantin Pribluda http://www.pribluda.de ]---------------- Still using XDoclet 1.x? XDoclet 2 is released and of production quality. check it out: http://xdoclet.codehaus.org __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Tired of spam? Yahoo!
