HI Helena,
    No you dont need to download the jar file since there will be a jar file in the zip file itself.
 
    U can extract the jar file which u will get when u extract the zip file. This extracted     jar will give u all the classes and u can use it by just giving the class path.     (Or better start working inthe same lavel where the package is extracted)

I am installing Xerces for the first time on home system,  a Win2KP, and downloaded a Xerces-J-src.1.2.3.zip file. My question is:

  1. Did I need to download another file along with, like xerces.jar ?
  2. Do I simply put the compiled classes in my classpath? Not clear on installation. Any help much appreciated.
