Xerces.jar is a collection of classes writen in java.It contains all the classes used by xeces and maybe more. You should check in the zip file once it's decompressed. To download the Xerces.jar can be interresting considering capabilities of your final sofware. furthermore i send you a copy of my autoexec.bat to answer your question about the classpath thanks chris
