I did and it solves my problems, I have no fake cursors anymore.

The fonts look good antialiased on both heads.

I'll test it some more.

Something I did notice, I think the refreshrate on my second head
changed (I had to re-calibrate the screen's vertical and horizontal
position).

The new driver also doesn't load the mga_hal.o, very easy to spot if you
diff the now log files.

The new log file is at :
http://vipie.studentenweb.org/dev/bug/mga/XFree86.0.log.mh

(the old one at
http://vipie.studentenweb.org/dev/bug/mga/XFree86.0.log).

The 'xdpyinfo -ext XFree86-VidModeExtension -display :0' for both
drivers:

XFree mga_drv.o + mga_hal.o

Current Video Mode Setting:
    108.00 1152 1216 1344 1600 864 865 868 900 +hsync +vsync

Mike Harris his mga_drv.o

Current Video Mode Setting:
    108.00 1152 1216 1344 1600 864 865 868 900 +hsync +vsync

The Sync frequencies reported by xvidtune, are the same for both.

Will this change make the cvs tree?

Is there something else I should test?
