If my assumption is correct and this is a server extension providing support for tasks like the one we talk about, I'd be deeply interested in
1) either generalizing it so that eg. the SiS driver can make use of it as well, or
2) copying some code :)


Folks have been bugging me for a possibily to switch the output device at run-time ever since...
