So I suggest trying one of the following:

1) use 1280x1024 mode: it's quite standard, and most likely the monitor
   has been factory tested for it

OK, that's better

2) copy over the timings from your former system

I'll need to rescusitate a corpse for that.

3) (wild) search for a source of electromagnetic interference and move
away from it (can be your UPS or speakers, etc. E.g. the floppy
drive in my box, standing half a meter away from the monitor,
clearly interferes with it when used).


The squiggle persists. Can't pin this one down. And ... Why would this NOT occur to the same monitor when running W2K, shared by a KVM?
