Not being anybody (with authority / whatever), I encourage you to create a site and a petition -- keep it "professional" and don't express your anger. You can'ft "force" them to do anything -- all you can do is "encourage" them, and a long list of petitioners should provide some encouragement. One additional question -- should non-Ati users be encouraged to sign? I don't use ATI in general (I use the least expensive alternative, which is often the video built into a motherboard (like the SiS chipsets used in various motherboards). The only time I'd deal with ATI is if we got one or more computers donated to the LVCFK with an ATI card -- if we didn't find drivers in XFree 4.3.x or 3.3.6, we'd just pull the card and look for an alternative. Does it make any sense to have two lists on the petition -- for ATI past, present, or potential future customers and for other interested parties? Should the petition be restricted to just past, present, and potential future customers (which really could be any/all of us)? I guess my tentative thought is one list, and all interested parties encouraged to sign -- if I sign it it probably means I am not a potential until they change their policy. good luck, Randy Kramer _______________________________________________ XFree86 mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://XFree86.Org/mailman/listinfo/xfree86
