The founders of the XMLDB API seem to have drifted off onto other things which has left both eXist and xindice with a number of outstanding issues.
I would like to propose that a number of volunteers join together to finalize the API and take the specifications forward. I can provide support facilities for the initiative (such as web hosting, a code repository, issue tracking and mailing list facilities). I'd also like to propose myself as the first volunteer. Lars and Kim did a great job getting this thing off the ground. It's time for the next generation to step up to the plate and take this thing forward. -k.
