I would like to propose that a number of volunteers join together to finalize the API and take the specifications forward.

I can provide support facilities for the initiative (such as web hosting, a code repository, issue tracking and mailing list facilities). I'd also like to propose myself as the first volunteer.
just use sourceforge so that you will save the time needed to manage the website/ml/cvs. And everyone knows how SF works.
Lars and Kim did a great job getting this thing off the ground. It's time for the next generation to step up to the plate and take this thing forward.
