I know that this is probably a silly question to be asking .. but when I recently re-installed XMail the SMTP server stayed as open relay. And no matter what I try I cannot get it to close down SMTP Relay with User Authentication to send emails through the server. I think I may have missed a step as I did have version 1.8.8 as a closed relay server. Does anyone know how to configure the SMTP to allow authentication and force it.
