The box isn't accessible from the internet with telnet. And when I telnet to mbuijtendijk.nl I can login with telnet and log into my account.............and if I make a mistake I get an error message
The box is a NSLU2 from linksys which is going to replace my server (mbuijtendijk.nl). Gr. Is this machine accessible from the net? I tried telnetting to mbuijtendijk.nl and the banner that came up was for a Kerio mail server.... The telnet window closing - the only reason I know of for that to happen is an invalid character in the input (something non-ASCII). Otherwise, you would typically only receive an error message from the server. For example: +OK <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> [XMail 1.20 POP3 Server] service ready; Thu, 16 Feb 2006 08:35:15 -0500 [EMAIL PROTECTED] -ERR Invalid command So, it sounds like there's a problem other than simply xmail involved here... rommelaccount wrote: > This is mine: > > +OK <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> [XMail 1.21 POP3 Server] service ready; Thu, 16 Feb > 2006 14:05:27 +0100 > > Whatever I do next...my telnetbox closes!! > > Gr.
