Sorry, I didn't see that it was from a local web client connecting to a
local xmail server :|

So the problem seems not to be a connectivity.
However, do you have any firewall software (including internal windows =
2003
firewall) on this server ?

What is you 'web client' ?

May be you can try a 'standard' client sofware localy, configured to
connected to the same server ip as you webmail, to see if the problem =
goes
away or not.
Try to configure the webmail and 'standard' to connect to 127.0.0.1 to =
see a
difference or not.

Also, a network dump (internal 'network monitor' included in windows =
2003 in
enought for this) could help to see what happen localy.
