FWIW you might want to give my work-in-progress P2P software a try. It's called Entropy and you can download the source code from http://pullmoll.de/entropy/ There isn't too much translated, english documentation available, but the source is rather easy to compile and install anyways. I'm using lMAME ROMs including much of the yet unemulated stuff as a test bed for the network. There are already several gigs of ROM images online and there will soon be about 16GB of images sorted by CRC32.
