Did you uncomment X86_ASM_68000 = 1 X11_MITSHM = 1
? I ask because linux has (ever since I added a few optimizations) compiling the xmame for my processor it has been very fast. On my 450 PII w/384 ram I can run over 95% of the mame games at full speed. shawn -----Original Message----- From: Pieter Hulshoff [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] Sent: Monday, November 18, 2002 4:13 PM To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: Re: [Xmame] speed: xmame vs mame32 - Got the message :) On Sunday 17 November 2002 20:20, Pieter Hulshoff wrote: > Ok, trust SuSE to include the slowest version of them all, eh? :) I'll do > some compiling this week, and let you know how things turn out. I've also closed KDE3 down (a real resource slurper if ever I saw one) to see if that helped, but it had little influence. I'll try some other compile options in the makefile to see if I can find the problem, and perhaps post a framespeed comparison between the different options.
